Cornflower Petals
“Centaurea cyanus” it’s botanical name, often referred to as Bachelor’s Button.
Can be used in salads, and in the treatment of dropsy, constipation, or as mouthwash for bleeding gums and ulcers. An infusion of these flowers can also taken as a bitter tonic or stimulant, improving digestion and supporting the liver as well as improving resistance to infections.
Often added to our house blends for a splash of color.

Lemongrass
Lemongrass has a calming effect that relieves insomnia or stress. It also has antibacterial and antifungal properties. Mixed with black pepper, it’s a great remedy for cramps and menstrual issues. It is an effective diuretic as well, and helps to detoxify the liver, pancreas, kidney, bladder and the digestive tract. In addition to all of that, it can reduce cholesterol, excess fats and other toxins in the body, all the while improving and stimulating digestion, blood circulation, and even lactation.
Licorice Root
Licorice root can boost your immune system, lower stomach acid levels and even relieve heartburn and indigestion. It also contains phytoestrogens that that perform some of the functions of the body’s natural estrogens; which can be helpful during menopause and for treating PMS and menstrual problems, such as irritability, bloating and breast tenderness. Licorice also has an aspirin-like action that is helpful in reducing fevers and alleviating pain such as headaches. Licorice also prevents the breakdown of adrenal hormones like cortisol (the body’s primary stress-fighting adrenal hormone), making these hormones more available to the body, so its easier to deal with stress.

Linden flowers are known for their treatment of colds and cough can be useful in fighting bronchitis, infectious diseases, and headaches (particularly migraines). Linden is also diuretic, antispasmodic and also a mild sedative. Linden is the perfect thing to ease away your tension and help you to sleep as well.
Mallow Flowers
Mallow Flowers are good for coughs and colds, easing sore throats and soothing lung complaints. Also good for soothing the digestive system.
Osmanthus Petals
Osmanthus has a sweet peach-like taste, and is said to be good for improving one’s complexion and skin tone. Can also be soothing and relieve tension.

Red Raspberry Leaves
Red Raspberry leaves tone the uterus and stabilize women’s hormones. Pregnant women who have come to term, or are close, can drink an infusion red raspberry leaves to prepare themselves for birth. Safe to drink after the birth as well, enriches breast milk and gets the uterus back into shape.
Rosehips
Rose hips are very high in vitamin C. Far higher than even an orange. Perfect for fighting off the cold and flu virus.
